T is for tiger

In this painting, I juxtaposed the image of the tiger with a cropped, decorative background, based on a vintage label. The tiger is painted in a way that looks almost like a portrait. Because of the tiger and the background, the feeling is reminiscent of old vintage posters and labels. This particular painting began with a layer of background collage, which was later painted over. The large letter "T" was added later, and provided the inspiration for the title for the painting.
